Macy came to us as an emergency intake. Macy's mom in Kentucky was involved in rescue, but sadly passed away unepectedly. Macy was a much loved indoor dog, that lived with other foster pets. She needed a place to go quickly and we said yes.
Macy is friendly and playful. She is housetrained with no accidents in her Seattle foster home. Macy has not mastered the dog door yet, but she goes to a door and wags her tail when she want to go out.
Macy loves to go for walks. She is jumper and likes to sit high up on furniture. Macy will counter/table surf when given the opportunity but is easy to redirect. She is highly food motivated but has a gentle mouth when accepting treats.
Macy loves people and will follow them through the house. She is dog friendly and has met the resident rabbits without much interest.
Macy has a voice! She will not be a good apartment beagle.
Macy will set boundaries with other dogs. She lets them know when they are invading her territory. Macy likes to be in charge but does well when other dogs understand her signals and do not push her limits. More than anything Macy enjoys a human companion.
We are proud to honor Macy's mom and her dedication to rescue by helping Macy find a home.
