Meet Barney – A Beagle Mix with a Heart of Gold
Barney is one of those dogs who leaves a lasting impression—sweet, loyal, and just all-around a very good boy. At around 4 years old and 37.8 lbs, this beagle mix is both kennel trained and potty trained, making him an easy addition to any home.

His former owner couldn’t say enough good things about him: “I could go on and on about how great Barney is. He deserves the very best in life, and I know you’re going to find it for him. He’s a lover of all things—just such a good boy. Barney is truly one of the best dogs I’ve ever met.”

Barney is up to date on his vaccines and has been treated for worms. He tested negative for heartworm and positive for Ehrlichia (a tick-borne illness), which is being managed with appropriate treatment. He still needs to be neutered, which will be completed before adoption.

Barney would thrive in a home that appreciates beagle traits—playful curiosity, lots of sniffing, and a loving personality. Whether you’re an experienced beagle home or someone ready to fall in love with your first, Barney is ready to bring joy, companionship, and big tail wags.
