I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Babe

I'm Available

Meet Babe 💕

Babe is a petite 2-year-old Beagle mix weighing about 25 pounds, and she is learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She’s still very timid and cautious, but we’re beginning to see the sweet, playful Beagle underneath that shyness. ❤️
Babe doesn’t rush into new situations. She needs time, patience, and someone willing to let her build trust at her own pace. But every little step forward is something to celebrate!
✨ Things we love about Babe:
🐾 She is sweet and affectionate once she feels safe
🐾 She loves toys — and has quite the talent for digging every toy out when her foster puts them away! 😂
🐾 She loves being petted and will nudge her foster’s hand with her nose for attention
🐾 She is house trained
🐾 She eats and drinks well
🐾 She did wonderfully with her pet sitter
🐾 She enjoys riding in the car
🐾 She has recently started coming into the living room and even climbing into her foster’s lap
🐾 She is beginning to use different dog beds instead of always retreating to her safe spot
🐾 She occasionally gets the zoomies and loves dragging blankets and pillows to her favorite spot!
Babe is still easily frightened by loud noises, sudden movement, unfamiliar objects, shadows, reflections, and things like moving ceiling fans. She is especially skittish outside. When her people stand up, she can quickly return to being cautious and fearful.
But she is making progress. ❤️ This morning she came out into the hallway to check on breakfast with her ears perked and tail up — a small moment that shows us she is beginning to feel more confident.
🐶 Babe needs:
• A calm, patient home
• Another playful dog to help her gain confidence and show her how to be a carefree Beagle
• Older children, 15+, because noise and movement can make her nervous
• Someone who understands that her confidence will come gradually
• A home where a back door can be left open for potty trips, at least initially — a doggie door would likely be overwhelming for her right now
Babe may not be the dog who runs up to greet you on day one. She may hide. She may be unsure. She may need you to prove that you are safe.
But somewhere underneath that cautious little girl is a fun, loving, playful Beagle just waiting to come out. And watching her discover that she can trust and enjoy her world is going to be incredibly rewarding. 🥰

We know Babe’s person is out there. She just needs someone patient enough to wait for her to find her way to them. 💕

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
