Opal came to us from St. Louis in April and was adopted by a wonderful family. Unfortunately, major health issues in the family have necessitated her rehoming. The family is heartbroken to part with her but want what’s best for their little girl. She is now with one of our terrific fosters.
Opal is a super sweet and loving 21 month old pup who, when not playing or running around, would love to sit on your lap. As a pup, she is active and can get underfoot. She would love to have a yard and another dog to play with. Her special talents include the ability to jump vertically to a great height; she’s been known to jump over the back of a chair if she was not allowed to get onto a lap via the usual route. Sometimes it seems like she appears out of nowhere, flying through the air!
Opal has not been around cats or kids, so that is an unknown. She has only recently been introduced to a man. Initially uncertain about him, she eventually warmed up to him and liked to cuddle.
Opal is a sweet pup who, through no fault of her own, is in need of a new loving family. Could that be you?
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
