I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Snickers

I'm Available

Meet Snickers! 🐾

Meet Snickers, a sweet Beagle looking for a place to call home once again! Born on January 16, 2017, this treat-loving girl knows what makes life wonderful: soft, cozy beds, yummy treats, little rawhide bones, car rides, and face rubs. She also loves showing off her tricks! And Snickers has a quirky side that makes her extra special. For some reason, she loves sitting in the kitchen with the French door drapes resting right on top of her head. We may never know why, but apparently, that's just her style!

Snickers is a girl who appreciates the finer things in life, especially when those things involve a comfy bed and something delicious to eat. With her next birthday coming up on January 16, she's already hoping for lots of treats to celebrate her special day. After all, what's a birthday without extra goodies?

Snickers knows what she likes and what she'd rather avoid. She's not particularly interested in pets, people, or snuggles, so she's looking for a family who understands that every dog shows affection differently. She much prefers having her own space and enjoying life on her terms. Cats, small animals, and water are definitely not her cup of tea, so a home without cats or other small animals will be important for her success. Her new family should be happy to respect her independent nature and let her settle in at her own pace.

Snickers is a special-needs girl who will need a family prepared to manage her ongoing medical care. She has a chicken allergy, a thyroid condition, and some incontinence. She takes two medications twice a day and requires special food and supplies to keep her comfortable and healthy. She recently had a dental procedure, too! Her future family should be ready for the extra responsibility and expense that come with her dietary and medical needs, along with the patience and understanding that will help her thrive.

Snickers first came into Seattle Beagle Rescue in December 2021 under the name Dora. At the time, she was described as a three-year-old female weighing about 38 pounds. She had been rescued from Mexico, where she had spent much of her time tied up outside. Understandably, she was quiet, shy, and a little afraid when she first arrived. She was adopted through Seattle Beagle Rescue in January 2022 and went on to experience life in a home.

Unfortunately, Snickers' journey hasn't been without a few bumps along the way. Her first adoption ended because she chased the resident cat. She was later adopted a second time, but due to personal life changes, her current owner can no longer keep her. Through no fault of her own, Snickers now finds herself looking for another home and another chance at a forever family.

What Snickers needs most is a comfortable, stable home where she can enjoy her favorite things, have her medical needs taken care of, and feel safe being herself. She's not necessarily looking for a constant cuddle buddy or a family that wants to shower her with affection every minute of the day. Instead, she'd love someone who appreciates her unique personality, provides a predictable routine, keeps her cozy, and remembers that treats are always a good idea!

Snickers has already been through several big changes in her life, and we hope her next move will be her last. She deserves a family who will love her in their own way, embrace her funny little quirks, and make sure she never has to wonder where she'll sleep or who will take care of her again.

Could you be the one to give Snickers the forever home she's been waiting for? If you have a soft bed, a stash of yummy treats, and a heart big enough for a special-needs Beagle with a personality all her own, Snickers might just be your girl. Her birthday wish is simple: a loving home, plenty of treats, and a forever family who won't give up on her.

Let's help Snickers find the happy ending she deserves!
