🐾 Meet Booker — Small-Town Boy, Big-Time Potential! 🤠💙
Booker’s story started out in the Missouri countryside, where this handsome fella was found wandering without a place to call home. The kind finder couldn’t keep him, but lucky for Booker, he landed in the loving care of our wonderful foster in St. Louis! And just like that, his next chapter began. ❤️
At just about 18 months old and 30.8 pounds, Booker is still a young guy with so much life ahead of him. We can’t help thinking he deserves a whole lot more than whatever life had handed him so far. But the past is the past, buddy — brighter days are ahead!
🐱🐕 What about furry friends? Booker seems to like both cats and other dogs! We love seeing those promising signs, though proper introductions are always important. As for kiddos, he hasn’t been tested with children of any age yet, so we’ll need to learn more before recommending a home with little ones.
The good news? Booker tested negative for Lyme disease, heartworm, and ehrlichia! He’s scheduled to be neutered on October 21, when a wound will also be treated. Then he’ll be one step closer to putting his rough start behind him and finding the happy ending he deserves. 🩺🐶
Now we just need to help Booker trade his country-roaming days for the good life: cozy naps, full food bowls, fun adventures, and a family who thinks he hung the moon. 🌙✨
He’s young, he’s got plenty of life ahead of him, and his next big adventure is just waiting to begin!
💙 Stay tuned for more about Booker as we get to know him.
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
