Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Adoption fees help Seattle Beagle Rescue cover vaccination, transportation and medical costs for the dogs.

Adoption Fees:

  • $500 - Puppies/Dogs up to 6 months
  • $400 - Dogs aged 6 months through year 2
  • $300 - Dogs aged 2 years through year 8
  • $200 - Dogs aged 8 years and older

Fees for dogs with special needs and/or bonded pairs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee adjustment.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Seattle Beagle Rescue cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Seattle Beagle Rescue dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Other vaccines, as required
  • Heartworm negative test result for all dogs entering Washington state
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Micro-chipped
  • Other items, as necessary
