Meet Ben 🐶
Ben is a charming little beagle boy who recently came into rescue after being released from a breeder situation. Because of his past, Ben will need a home with another confident dog to help him learn the ropes and build confidence as he adjusts to life as a beloved companion instead of a tool for producing puppies.
Ben weighs 18.6 pounds and the vet estimates he’s about 2 years old. He has the cutest slightly crooked tail, which only adds to his character. Ben recently had a bath and handled it like a champ. He loves meeting new dog friends and prefers to stay close to the other dogs—or right next to his foster—whenever possible.
This sweet boy also has a goofy side. Ben is very comical and has already started exploring toys; he even tried playing with one earlier. When he’s not hanging out with the other dogs, he’s perfectly content to sit and watch TV with his people.
Ben has tested negative for heartworm and will be neutered and microchipped before traveling. He will receive his final vaccine boosters on March 30th and will be ready to travel after that.
Ben is looking for a patient and understanding home that recognizes his past and is willing to help him navigate the new experiences that come with learning how to be a family member. With time, kindness, and the guidance of another confident dog, Ben has all the makings of a wonderfully loyal and entertaining companion.
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
