Billy is a smart, active, and eager-to-please boy who’s looking for the right forever home. He’s had quite a journey:
 
The Backstory:
  • Billy was in a Missouri foster home with no issues but had a biting incident with his SBR foster mom.
  • A vet exam revealed inflamed and painful anal glands, which the vet and trainer believe caused his reaction.
  • His anal glands have since healed, and Billy has completed a professional training program where he learned many commands and "words."
:house: What Billy Needs:
  • A child-free home with an active owner who can continue his training.
  • While he’s best as the only dog, Billy may do well with dogs his size or smaller if his owner is experienced and introductions are done properly.
  • Billy isn’t comfortable with larger dogs.
  • Billy loves to work and would likely excel in competitive sports or other activities where he can use his energy and intelligence.

To help Billy transition, we’re offering a one-hour session with his trainer so his new owner can learn all his commands and set him up for success. Billy is currently in boarding, but it’s not where he belongs. He needs a forever home where he can thrive and show his true potential.
