Meet Bingo! đž
Bingo is a lively and affectionate beagle mix, possibly with some Jack Russell in her, who ended up at a very full shelter in Missouri as an owner release. Her previous owner described her as a âfrequent flyer running loose,â meaning she was often out exploring, likely due to boredom and loneliness. However, despite her adventurous past, Bingo is a sweet girl with a loving personality.
Currently in a foster home through Seattle Beagle Rescue, Bingo has settled in beautifully. Sheâs a happy, affectionate dog who absolutely loves to cuddle and show her love through hugs and kisses. In fact, sheâs one of the most cuddly dogs her foster has ever met! Bingo is not shy about expressing her affection and will happily shower her humans with love.
Bingo is house-trained but enjoys being let out in the yard every couple of hours. She has great recall, at least in her foster's backyard, but due to her strong prey drive, she gets very excited when she sees squirrels or bunnies. A secure backyard is a must, as sheâs likely good at finding ways out if she spots something interesting, as indicated by her original owners as the reason she went to the shelter.
This sweet girl is also great when left alone at home for a couple of hours at a time with her fosterâs other dogsâno whining or barking, just napping until her humans return. However, Bingo has a lot of energy and loves going on walks, playing fetch, and engaging in tug games with other dogs. She gets along well with other dogs but might not be ideal for a household with older dogs who donât want to play. Bingo can sometimes miss the cues from other dogs who are not in the mood for playtime and might push them too far.
There are a couple of areas where Bingo still needs some work. On-leash reactivity is her main issue at the moment; she tends to bark and panic when she sees another dog while out for a walk. Her foster is actively working on training to improve this behavior, though itâs a work in progress. Bingo also tends to have some tiffs with other dogs, particularly over attention, toys, or food. While she loves to play, she struggles with recognizing when the other dogs want to stop and can become a bit annoying, especially with older, less playful dogs. That said, her foster understands this behavior and is working with her to improve her social skills.
Bingo is an energetic and playful dog who would thrive in a home where she has plenty of opportunities for physical activity and mental stimulation. Sheâd likely do best with another active dog who enjoys playing and doesnât mind her exuberant energy.
If you're looking for a cuddly, affectionate, and playful dog who will shower you with love and keep you on your toes, Bingo might just be the perfect fit for you!
