I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Bonnie

I'm Available
Bonded With: Ginger

Let me introduce myself - I am Bonnie, a loving 10 year old beagle/Bassett dog!  I have short legs and a beagle face.  I enjoy food too much (what hound doesn't!) and should lose a few pounds.  My buddy, Ginger, and I could not join our mom when she moved, which made us sad.  She says that we are both super sweet and good pups.  We even got along well with her cats.  I don't really like little kids, but bigger ones are fine.  I get extra belly rubs that way and I adore belly rubs.  You should know that I get scared during thunderstorms.  I am also afraid of brooms - they creep me out.  And I get uneasy if something like a harness comes near my face; that scares me too.  But otherwise, I am brave!!  The doctor says I am healthy except for some hookworms, but I am on medicine to get rid of those.  I don't have heartworm, or any of the other bad things that some dogs around here get.  That's because our mom took good care of us and kept us up to date with our vaccinations.  I am spayed and microchipped.

Ginger and I just had a long car drive from St. Louis to Seattle with two very nice volunteers!  We are now happily checking out our new foster family!  We hope you will come meet us sometime..  We would love a family to call our own.  Could it be you???

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
