🐾 Meet Bri – A Sweet Senior with So Much Love to Give 🐾
Bri is an approximately 10-year-old beagle who sadly ended up back at Midwest rescue after being lovingly adopted 6 years ago and recently returned due to a divorce. Through no fault of her own, Bri is once again looking for a calm, understanding forever home to spend her golden years.
Spayed
Current on vaccinations
Heartworm negative
Identified food allergy – does great on a Whitefish & Potato food
Bri is a very good girl who lives for food and attention. She is:
House trained
Comfortable and happy sleeping in her kennel at night
If not contained overnight, she may wander and have an occasional accident
When she’s tired, she will put herself in the kennel and settle in for the night
Currently living with other dogs and several cats
Bri cannot jump onto furniture due to her age, but she’s very clever and uses a stool to get on and off the couch like a pro.
Extremely food motivated – she is fed separately because once she finishes, she tries to help everyone else finish theirs
Loves attention and being close to her person
Can be a bit protective of her human, especially if another dog or cat jumps onto the couch while she’s already there
She gives warning signals, and the behavior has been happening less often over time
Easily managed by redirecting her or calmly removing her from the situation, so this training needs to continue in a her new home.
Slightly hard of hearing, but responds well when voices are lowered
Bri is a gentle, routine-loving senior who would thrive in a home that understands her need for structure, management around food, and a little extra patience. In return, she offers loyalty, sweetness, and lots of love. 💛
If you’re looking to open your heart to a senior beagle who still has so much affection to give, Bri may be the perfect companion. 🐶💗
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
