Meet Buford!

Buford is a good boy looking for a fresh start and a family to call his own. He recently found himself in a shelter in West Virginia, and while we don't know much about his past, we're excited to help him find a bright future.

Buford weighs about 44 pounds and likely a beagle mix. He's currently a little on the skinny side, but with proper nutrition and care, we expect him to fill out nicely. He has recently been neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for heartworm.

When Buford first entered the shelter, he appeared to have some possible skin issues. We will have him evaluated and treated as needed so that he can feel his best. As we learn more about his health, personality and overall condition, we will provide updates to his profile.

So far, Buford seems to do well with other dogs, which is encouraging news for potential adopters with canine companions. However, we do not have any information at this time about how he interacts with cats or children of any age.

Like many shelter dogs, Buford's full personality is still unfolding. What we do know is that he's a good boy who deserves a loving, stable home where he can thrive. As we get to know him better, we'll continue to update his profile with more information about his temperament, likes, and unique qualities.
