Meet Dexter!

Dexter is a handsome 7-year-old beagle weighing about 35 pounds. 
Dexter ‘s foster mom thinks he is sweet guy. 

Dexter lived in a Missouri foster home with several dogs. He got along with all, except needing to be fed separately. In his current foster home Dexter does not get along with one of the dogs.Dexter guards his mom and wants her to himself  He would probably do best as the only pet, unless his adopter has experience working with this issue.

Dexter likes the 9 to 12 year old children in his foster home and is sweet and gentle with them, 

Dexter saw rabbits while on a walk and did not react.

He loves hugs and attention from his people and is very sensitive to emotions in his people, offering comfort and cuddles when most needed. Dexter goes to work with his foster mom and will sleep quietly in his bed, but is always happy to greet people coming into the office.

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
