I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Gerald

We're happy to tell you that Gerald has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Gerard was found as a stray in Missouri.  Sadly, no one ever claimed this fun,  4 year old boy, so he is now looking for a new family.  Like many beagles, he is a chow hound.  He will go through your trash if it isn't secured, and if you are not careful, steal some yummies wherever he can find them!  We do not know how long Gerard was on his own, but long enough to learn how to find food!  He is also adept at squeezing through your legs if you open the front door.  His foster has found that he needs to be confined in a room or leashed before opening the door.  He has a free spirit.  It took him a little time to warm up to to resident dog, who wanted him to play immediately.  But now that they have been properly introduced, they can be found snuggling together in some comfy spot.  He has not be tested with kids yet, but he has met a cat; while curious, Gerald did not chase it.  Neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations, he is anxious to come to the PNW to meet his new people!

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
