Gracie, a stray, found herself at the shelter in Kentucky at such a young age! Our great rescue friend reached out to us to see if we could help Gracie, a possible Jack Russell Beagle mix. She was lucky enough to go stay with a foster in the shelter's area, so now it is time to move Gracie to Seattle! Gracie's age is estimated around 1 years old. In her current foster home she is living with other dogs, a cat and a 10 year boy. She is doing great with everyone! Her fosters says she would do great with another dog to help burn some of that young dog energy, but she will play by herself in the yard. If she doesn't have a dog friend, she will need lots of exercise to help keep her happy. So far Gracie has done well with the foster's cat, but this cat is used to dogs and does not run away. If a resident cat will run, Gracie may give chase but the foster doesn't feel that chase is out of aggression. It seems Gracie is new to everything so she is learning to walk on a leash, but she is crate trained and house trained if taken out on a consistent frequent schedule. She did test positive for Lyme disease, as many dogs in this area do, but she has been fully treated. Gracie would do best with kids 10 and over since she is young with an energetic personality. This energy could accidentally knock over a smaller child. Gracie is looking for love and a new family to call her own!
