I'm ready for my new family!

Jax is a loyal and loving soul who’s been through a heartbreaking time but is holding out hope for a brighter future. When his human dad was hospitalized and fighting for his life, Jax was sadly left behind. With no one to care for him, neighbors stepped in to feed and look after him, but the loneliness took a toll. Confused and heartbroken, Jax spent his nights barking and howling, longing for the comfort of companionship.

Now safe with one of our amazing fosters in St. Louis, Jax is starting to feel like himself again as he waits for his journey to Seattle and a fresh start. He’s currently living with a group of dogs and seems most comfortable around smaller pups—larger dogs tend to make him nervous. While he does well in the home, he has shown a tendency to chase cats outside, so a cat-free environment may be best for him.

Weighing 35.8 pounds, Jax is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He’s tested negative for heartworm and will have a fecal test done before traveling to ensure he’s all set for his new adventure.
