'Big Booty' Judy is a special girl, about 5 years old. She was surrendered by her owner and has been living with a kind foster. We think Judy is about 5 years old. She is a happy, friendly girl, who enjoys her food a bit too much. She is obese (hence the nickname!) and is on a special diet. She loves her green beans. So far, it has been working as she has lost a few pounds! Judy can even manage stairs now! She, and her special food and green beans(!), will arrive in Seattle on May 25 and will be staying with one of our fosters so we can get to know her better.
Her current foster says Judy is a "hoot", with personality to spare. She loves to snuggle, but has little sense of personal space. While she knows she is to sleep at the end of the bed, she would much rather stand on top of her foster mom!! She adores getting scratched and will in fact demand them. She enjoys walks and can handle up to a mile so far, but tends to spin in circles if given the chance. But whether spinning like a helicopter or walking normally, walking will definitely help work off those pounds.
She has one surprising fear - taking treats from a hand - something that will probably ease with time. We will add more information as our foster gets to know here. Judy is a sweet girl who is looking for a home of her own!
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
