I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Klondike

We're happy to tell you that Klondike has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Klondike’s story began when he was found as a stray in the St. Louis area and taken in by SBR, ensuring he wouldn’t have to make the stressful transition from a small shelter to a larger, overcrowded facility where his chances of survival would have been much lower. At his initial veterinary evaluation, he was estimated to be around one year old, weighed 30 pounds, received his first set of vaccines, and tested negative for heartworm.

Klondike is scheduled to be neutered on April 15, and he will receive his vaccine boosters and microchip on April 20. After that, he’ll be ready to travel to his forever home.

We are still getting to know Klondike’s personality, but so far he appears to be doing well with other dogs and would likely be okay in a home with cats. At this time, we don’t have any information about how he does with children of any age. As we continue to learn more about him, we’ll update his profile to help find the best possible match for this deserving pup.

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
