Meet Linden – A Gentle Soul Starting His Journey to Healing
Linden is a quiet, timid boy who is just beginning to learn that he’s finally safe. Estimated to be around 7 years old and weighing 25.6 lbs, Linden is believed to have been on the run for nearly two years, according to the Animal Control Officer who helped bring him to safety. That kind of past leaves its mark, and right now, Linden is still learning how to trust.
At the moment, leash walking is overwhelming for him—he’ll do an alligator roll when he feels too scared—but with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, we believe he’ll start to understand that a leash can mean walks, not worry.
Linden’s story is still unfolding. He’s been seen by a vet, and now that he’s safe, we’re giving him space to decompress and watching his personality slowly start to emerge. We’ll be updating his profile as we learn more about what he loves, what comforts him, and what kind of home will help him thrive.
Linden will do best in a calm, understanding environment with experienced or patient adopters who can help guide him into this new chapter of his life—a chapter filled with warmth, safety, and unconditional love.
Stay tuned as we get to know sweet Linden. His journey is just beginning—and it’s one worth watching.
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
