I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Markie

We're happy to tell you that Markie has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Sweet Markie had a tough Memorial Weekend. She was abandoned in a hot car at the airport. It was a hot day and the police were able to get her out. She was taken to the Regional Animal Services of King County and the nice people reached out to Seattle Beagle Rescue to help her. RASKC staff were able to talk to a previous vet due to Markie having her rabies tag on her collar. Apparently her owner had called the vet a few days prior to see about traveling to Alaska which probably means the owner meant to take Markie along  but decided it was too complicated so left her behind...in a locked car.  The RASKC staff say that Markie is very sweet and walks nicely on leash. She has been updated on all her vaccines. Markie has been spayed and had a dental. Unfortunately there is no information about Markie with kids, but she has done fairly well with cats in her current foster home. She is working on being left alone with only dog friends to keep her company and she does a bit of whining only so far. She does well with people and she seems interested in other dogs. She is a small girl at only 22lbs.
