Millie is a good natured hound dog who joined Regional Services of King County on Feb 28, 2024 from Metro Animal Services in Puyallup. She was adopted, but sadly returned because she was a bit too interested in the resident cat, after all she is a hound dog. She’s had zero issues with her foster's dogs or kids and true to her reputation from the shelter, she is very adaptable. EXCEPT, she loves to be outside and really needs good exercise and sniffing daily (if not twice daily). She’s pretty good on the leash but gets excited over dogs and critters. She will constantly stand by the foster's doors and tries to leave when they’re open so door safety is SUPER important. When she’s due for exercise she likes to chew, shoes are her favorite but she’s very responsive to a firm no. Millie is also working on house training but hopefully that will be a learned skill by the time she goes to her new home.
