I'm ready for my new family!

Meet Moses, a sweet, mellow 9½-year-old tri-color beagle. He and his best buddy, Cleo, are looking for a new home together.  Moses is a hefty boy, weighing in at 48 lbs, and could definitely stand to lose a few pounds!  He is a couch potato at heart and loves a soft place to chill out, but he also enjoys leisurely walks (which are important for helping him control his weight).  While he doesn’t show interest in toys, he does love a good bone. Socially, Moses is a bit shy, tending to hang back when meeting new people and kids, but he warms up quickly, especially if a good scratch is offered.  He enjoys most other dogs and does well in doggy day care.  He has not been tested with cats or other small animals.  One important thing to note – Moses hates water!  Moses is a well-mannered boy who knows basic commands.  He also is crate trained and rides well in the car.  Moses is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Moses is being rehomed together with  his girlfriend, Cleo as they are very bonded. A home with a large, fenced yard, together with someone who has the time to give them love, attention, and regular walks would suit these two best.

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
