Meet Murphy, a 25.2-pound beagle mix with a gentle soul and an estimated age of 5 years. He’s a total sweetheart who enjoys the company of people and has done well around young children, according to the good Samaritan who first took him in after he was found as a stray. Murphy does have one quirk—he prefers to eat separately from other dogs, but otherwise he's easygoing and affectionate.
Currently, Murphy is thriving in a wonderful foster home in St. Louis. His initial vaccines are scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th, and on September 3rd he’ll be neutered, microchipped, and receive his booster shots. After a short recovery period, he’ll make his way to the Seattle area where he'll be ready to meet his forever family.
As we get to know Murphy better, we’ll continue to update his profile. If you think Murphy could be the perfect addition to your home, please complete the adoption application and we’ll be in touch.
Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.
We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
