Meet Nexo, a shy and sweet young puppy weighing 18.2 lbs, still adjusting to the world around him. Surrendered by a breeder, Nexo has a gentle and timid nature, especially when it comes to loud sounds, but he’s starting to warm up to people—particularly women and older children (8+). Though still a bit unsure due to his past, Nexo is incredibly curious and smart, eager to bond with his new family and learn about the world.
Nexo is still getting used to new environments and experiences. He can be nervous around loud noises and will need a calmer, patient home to help him build his confidence. While he’s shy with new people, Nexo thrives with gentle, understanding companionship. He’s playful and loves to snuggle on the couch, making him an affectionate and cuddly companion. Nexo must have another confident dog in the home, as he finds comfort in the company of other pets who can show him how to be an amazing family member. As a young puppy, he has a strong urge to chew, so providing plenty of chew toys will keep him entertained and out of trouble.
Nexo is mostly potty trained and is making good progress, though he still needs some time and consistency to become fully reliable. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash, so a little patience and continued training will help him develop into a confident walker. Nexo is unaltered and will need to be neutered at the appropriate age, with proof of completion sent to SBR as a requirement. This should be discussed further with an adoption counselor for any applicant. He is up to date on all puppy shots and is microchipped for his safety.
If you’re ready to offer Nexo the time, care, and patience he needs, he’ll quickly reveal his playful, affectionate side and become a cherished member of your family.
