I'm ready for my new family!

Oscar sounds like such a sweet and loving dog who truly deserves a home that can meet his current needs. It’s clear his current owner deeply cares for him but is in a tough spot, trying to balance his care with the demands of an outside-the-home work situation. As a senior dog with some health issues, Oscar really needs someone who is home more often to provide him with the constant care, attention, and reassurance he needs, especially with his anxiety.

His heart murmur (grade B), anxiety, some arthritis, and lupoid onychodystrophy mean that he requires a bit more specialized care, but with a patient and understanding person, we are sure he can still thrive with more happy years to come. His love for walks and his sociable nature with people, dogs, and even curiosity about cats shows he has a lot of joy to give.

Finding the right home for Oscar is key—somewhere with someone who has the time to provide him with the companionship and attention he craves. His health issues are manageable, but his anxiety when left alone seems to be the biggest challenge.
