Meet Parker – A Sweet but Very Shy Beagle Ready for a Fresh Start

Parker is a 3-year-old beagle who was released from a breeder situation, and unfortunately, his early life hasn’t been easy. Spending most of his days in a small wire box has left him shy, shut down, and understandably nervous. But with patience, care, and time, we know Parker can thrive and become the sweet, loving companion he’s meant to be. Currently weighing 28.2 pounds, he’s slowly starting to open up in his foster home in St. Louis, and we are hopeful for his future.

Parker is 4dx negative, meaning he is free from tick-borne diseases and heartworm. He is scheduled to receive his vaccines, fecal test, microchip, and preventatives on 3/20/25, with a neuter appointment scheduled for 4/9. As we learn more about his progress, we will continue to update his profile in hopes of finding him the perfect forever family.

Parker will need a patient and understanding home where he can continue to build trust. He’s still adjusting to the world outside of the wire box he spent so much of his life in, and he’ll need a family who is willing to provide him with the time and space to grow. Once he feels safe, he will blossom into the loving companion we know he can be.
