I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Crete

I'm Available

Crete is hoping to find his forever home very soon! He is currently in a loving foster home north of the Seattle area with 2 resident beagles. He was rescued from a laboratory setting at a vet school in South Korea. We do not know what kind of testing but we do know Crete was in the internal medicine department at the vet school, along with Richie, Odie and Quinn. Sadly upon arrival Crete needed dental work where he lost all of his molars, likely due to his life in a testing environment living in a kennel and eating not the best foods.  He still has his canines and incisors; he will need soft food to eat, but still loves a good game of tug-o-war with his beagle-buddies!

His foster says he loves to run around on hios "spindly legs like a newborn colt." Crete has learned that laps are the best! Crete, now on healthy food, is starting to gain a few pounds and is currently about 27 lbs. He is looking fit and svelte, according to his foster. He is great at stairs, but is still learning to use the doggie door. He is still working on housetraining but is doing better all the time.

Crete is friendly with people and other beagles. From our past experience, laboratory beagles learn from other dogs so Crete really needs another confidant resident dog in the home and preferably a fenced yard. The foster feels Crete would do well with kids and probably cats at this point. He may startle easily with younger kids who like to run around, move quickly and sometimes loudly. Older kids would be preferable for Crete. He would love to join your family so fill out an application to learn more!
