Meet Little Stevie – Small in Size, Big in Heart

Little Stevie may be tiny at just 14 pounds, but she has a heart full of love and a gentle spirit that makes her unforgettable. This 4-year-old sweetheart was surrendered by her previous owner, and she’s now settling beautifully into her foster home in Kentucky — so much so that her foster mom says she’s the perfect little dog and would keep her in a heartbeat if she could.

Stevie is spayed, fully vetted, heartworm negative, and currently finishing up a 30-day course of Doxycycline (12 days to go!) to treat Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis — all common tick-borne illnesses that we are actively addressing to ensure she heads to her forever home as healthy as possible.

She gets along well with both dogs and cats and has shown a calm and loving demeanor. Stevie is ready to move in and start her new life — all she needs now is a family ready to give her the love and care she deserves.

Please note: Our rescue is foster-based and cannot hold dogs for future adoption due to travel, home renovations, or schedule changes. Adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

We do our best to ensure every dog is as healthy and prepared as possible, but we ask adopters to understand that rescue dogs may need time to decompress and adjust. They are not perfect — they are simply in need of patience, understanding, and a second chance.
