Tippy is a neutered male about 18-19 pounds, about 13" and 4-5 years old (might be younger) that was rescued from a shelter about 15 months ago. His current family is retired and loves him so much but they realize he needs a home that can help him burn some of that beagle energy. Tippy loves to run and run around the yard and then come into the house to continue his playing. Tippy loves children, dogs, and lives with a cat he chases, however when the cat has had enough, the cat will let Tippy know. So any cat in the new home will need dog experience and be able to stand their ground to stop playtime. Tippy MUST have a 6 foot fence and no apartments/condos, please, as he needs a fenced yard to burn off his energy and will climb the fence when bored or left alone. He can be a little aggressive with farm animals so he needs to be a city dog. Tippy is not food motivated and after the food is measured out, he may wait all day before eating. Of course he loves Pupperoni and canned wet food. Unlike many other beagles Tippy will play with a dog biscuit for a few days before eating it! This makes him a bit harder to train without that true beagle food motivation. Tippy would prefer a home with people around. He might be okay spending time alone with another dog, but we don't know for sure if the company is enough for Tippy when humans are gone.
