We can't
do it without you.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue and we are thrilled you want to work with us. We can’t exist without your help! Below are some of the ways to volunteer, so if you would like to become involved, please complete the Volunteer Application and our Volunteer Coordinator will call you to chat about all the ways to help.

We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. Please take a few minutes to read through the website. Learn our foster and adoption processes (no quizzes...we promise), and read the stories of the beagles whose lives have been changed through Seattle Beagle Rescue. Donate

Monetary donations are always appreciated. Check out our Donate page for more information on ways to help provide a beagle needed vaccines, surgery, bedding/supplies and even this website that helps to spread the word about Seattle Beagle Rescue.

Volunteer at Events

We participate in several events in the community and our events always need volunteers. Join us! Help us get the word out about the events on social media, your work, church, school . . . anywhere you meet up with people. We often need help at these events. Let us know you're available to pitch in. Check out our Events page for more information about specific events.

Host an Event or Fundraiser

Consider hosting a bake sale, organize a raffle, the options are endless. Contact us and we can work together to help you create an amazing event.

Network & Educate

Volunteers can help with various social media sites as well as website maintenance/updates under the supervision of our Technology Coordinator. Volunteers also help by sharing posts on social media. When friends and family are looking to add a pet to their family, send them to us.

Help With Rescue Pets

When we bring in beagles, we often need help getting them ready to go their foster or forever homes.

  • Adoption Counselors review applications and try to make a forever match between a beagle (sometimes 2!) and the applicant. We go through a lengthy process (which you may have been through) that ensures that the beagle and family are right for each other.
  • Home visit volunteers ensure the safety of the home for a new beagle. They put on their beagle eyes and look for anything a beagle might get into and provide suggestions to the homeowners.
Transportation

Transport volunteers help beagles in a variety of ways.

  • We may need help getting beagles from shelters or other locations to a veterinarian, a foster home or anywhere they have to go in the Pacific Northwest. Our volunteers travel from near and far to help out beagles in need.
  • Join our arrival team in greeting new beagles arriving by air or ground transport. You will meet at a designated location help to welcome new arrivals before they go on their way to new homes.
Foster

With a little space in your house and some patience, love and care, you can be a hero to a beagle in need until they are ready to find their Furever family! Foster families are the MVPs of SBR because without them, we would not be a successful rescue! If you would like to foster, please check out the Foster Page and complete the Foster Application.

Adopt
